Buying and paying for a workspace
You buy a workspace at shop.groupforce.org, pay in dollar stablecoins from your own wallet, and the workspace is ready a few seconds later. This page follows the whole path: the shop, paying in USDC or USDT, invoices, offers from sales, changing seats, renewals, what happens when a payment is late, and how to cancel.
What you will need
- A sign-in name for the workspace, which is also its web address (3 to 30 characters: a lower-case letter first, then letters and digits only; no dashes or underscores), and a name for the first administrator
- A company name and country for the invoice, and a VAT ID if you have one
- USDC or USDT in a wallet you control, plus a little of the network's own coin to pay the transfer fee (ETH on Ethereum and Base, BNB on BNB Smart Chain, SOL on Solana)
Plans and prices
The shop is at shop.groupforce.org. Prices are in euro and exclude tax. These are the launch prices; the shop always shows the price in force when you order, and a price you have bought does not change under you.
| Plan | Price | Billed | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
Basic |
6.00 per seat | Monthly | From 1 |
Pro |
60.00 per seat | Yearly | From 1 |
Business |
9,900.00 for the company incl. 100 seats, then 30.00 per seat to 250 and 25.00 per seat to 500 | Yearly | 100 included, 100 to 500 in the shop |
Which plan fits is in Per-seat vs. company-wide pricing. Pay by invoice is part of the Business plan; see "Offers from sales" below.
Buying in the shop
The shop is a short sequence. At any point you can go back; nothing is charged until the last step.
| Step | What you enter |
|---|---|
Plan |
Choose a plan and the number of seats. The total for the period updates as you change it. |
Workspace |
Team or company name, shown at the top of every screen, on invoices and in emails; and the Sign-in name, which people type to sign in. The shop checks that the name is free and not reserved. A name is held for you while your order is open. |
Administrator |
The first administrator's full name, work email (receipts and renewal notices go here) and password. |
Review and pay |
Billing details (company, country, address, VAT ID, the address invoices go to), the payment method, and agreement to the terms of service and the data processing agreement. The button shows the exact amount, with tax. |
Tax comes from your billing country and VAT ID. A valid VAT ID of a business in another EU country moves the sale to reverse charge, so no VAT is added; outside the EU none is added. The VAT ID is checked for form, not looked up in an official register. The exact amount is on the page before you pay.
Paying in stablecoins
groupforce takes payment in dollar stablecoins. There is no card payment. You pay from your own wallet; groupforce never holds your keys and never sends anything: it only watches the blockchain for your transfer.
| Token | Networks |
|---|---|
USDC |
Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Solana |
USDT |
Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana |
Only these tokens, as issued on these networks, are accepted. Native coins (ETH, BNB, SOL) and any other token are not. A network appears in the shop only when groupforce has a receiving address on it.
On Review and pay, choose Crypto · USDC, USDT, then Continue to pay … in crypto. On the next page you choose the network and the token. The page then shows what to send:
| You see | What it means |
|---|---|
Send exactly |
The amount in dollars. The order's euro total is converted at one rate, shown on the page, and rounded up to the cent. The rate is fixed when you choose the token. |
The last digits |
The amount carries a small tag, up to 0.0099 dollars, so that your payment can be told apart from other buyers'. You pay up to a cent more than the converted price. Send the amount exactly as shown. |
Connect wallet |
Your browser's wallet (an EVM wallet on Ethereum, Base and BNB Smart Chain, a Solana wallet on Solana) is asked to switch network and send the transfer. On Solana the transaction also creates the receiving token account if it is missing, at your cost. |
Scan QR code |
A code your wallet app reads. It fills in the address and amount for you. Use this on a phone, or when no browser wallet is found. You can also copy the address and amount. |
You pay the network fee, so keep a little of the network's own coin in the wallet. Once the transfer is seen, the page waits for it to be final before counting it: 12 confirmations on Ethereum, 24 on Base, 30 on BNB Smart Chain, and a finalized transaction on Solana. Leave the page open or come back to it; it checks the payment as you wait.
A transfer of a different amount, in a different token, or to a different address does not pay your order. The order stays open and unpaid. Write to [email protected] with the transaction if that happens. An order that is not paid within 24 hours expires and gives up its workspace name; one with a transfer on its way does not expire.
If your transfer arrives after the order has expired, the workspace cannot be built from it. The payment is recorded, you are emailed, and groupforce sends the money back by hand.
After you pay
The workspace is built in a few seconds. The page then says your workspace is ready, notes that a receipt is on its way to your billing address, shows your invoice number, and signs you in. If building takes longer, you see "Your payment arrived. We are building your workspace." and it finishes by itself: your payment is safe. You can then open the workspace or the console, and the page suggests three first steps: invite your team, connect your mailbox, and add a second administrator.
Later, sign in to the console at console.groupforce.org with the workspace's sign-in name, your login and your password.
Invoices
Every payment and every renewal has an invoice, numbered like INV-2026-0001. You find them in the console under Billing: date, number, description, amount, status (Paid, Open, Failed, Overdue or Void) and a Download PDF link. Invoices go to the address in Billing details. Change the company, address, VAT ID or email there; the change applies to invoices from then on and never rewrites one already issued. If an invoice looks wrong, write to [email protected] and mention its number.
Offers from sales
If you agree a price with groupforce sales, you get an email with a private link to an offer. The offer shows the plan, seats, term and price. On the page you enter who is signing (name and role), the workspace and administrator details, billing details and a purchase-order number if the offer asks for one, and agree to accept.
An offer paid by invoice builds the workspace as soon as you accept, before any money moves. The first invoice is open and falls due after the number of days the offer states; you pay it by bank transfer. Accepting records your name, the time, your IP address and which version of the offer you accepted. Only one person at a time can accept an offer.
If sales revise an offer, your link keeps working and shows the newest version. While a new version is being prepared the page says it is being updated and shows no price. Offers have an end date; five days before it you get a reminder, and after it the offer is marked expired.
Seats and proration
In the console, Plan and seats shows seats in use and bought. Change the number and the page shows what would happen before you confirm. The rule is: more seats now, paid for the rest of the period; everything else at renewal.
| Change | When | Money |
|---|---|---|
More seats |
Immediately | An invoice for the extra seats for the time left in the period, plus tax. Under a crypto or invoice plan the invoice stays open and you pay it as any other invoice. The seats are added straight away. |
Fewer seats |
At the end of the period | Nothing now, no refund. You keep all your seats until renewal, and the next invoice uses the new number. |
Another plan |
At renewal | The renewal invoice is at the new plan. The change is scheduled and shown on the page. |
You cannot go below the seats in use (active accounts) or the plan's minimum, and the most one subscription can hold is 100,000 seats. Seats follow active accounts: to free a seat, deactivate the person. A workspace bought through a custom offer cannot switch plan itself; the page offers "Talk to us". Price changes between plans are explained in Per-seat vs. company-wide pricing.
Renewals
A subscription renews every month (Basic) or year (Pro and Business) until you cancel. Fourteen days before, you are emailed a renewal notice with the plan, seats and amount.
With stablecoins, renewal is by invoice. On the renewal date the next period starts and an open invoice is issued, due 14 days later, and you are emailed. Three days before it falls due you get one reminder. Pay it from your wallet. Paying a renewal invoice through a link in the invoice email is not built yet: today, groupforce marks the invoice paid in its back office once your transfer is seen, so reply to the invoice email if you have paid and it still shows Open.
If payment is late
An unpaid invoice stays open past its due date. The workspace keeps working through a grace period of 14 days after the due date. If the invoice is still unpaid after that, the subscription is suspended and you are emailed. While a workspace is suspended:
| Who | What happens |
|---|---|
Members |
Cannot sign in; sessions they have stop being valid. |
Administrators |
Can sign in and reach the billing console, and nothing else. |
Tokens, mounted folders, realtime |
Stop working for everyone, administrators' tokens included. |
Nothing is deleted. When the open invoice is recorded as paid, the subscription returns to active within about a minute, and everyone can sign in again.
Cancelling
In the console, Workspace → Cancel subscription… shows what will happen and asks, optionally, why. Confirm with Cancel at the end of the period:
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
Today |
Nothing changes. Everyone keeps working. No refund is due for the current period and no further payment is taken. |
At the end of the paid period |
The workspace becomes read-only: people can read and download, but nobody can add or change anything. |
30 days after that |
The console says the workspace and its data are deleted. Until then you can restart the subscription and everything is as you left it. |
Changed your mind? Until the period ends, Keep my subscription removes the cancellation, and after it ends you have the 30 days to restart.
Take your data before you rely on those 30 days. Workspace → Request an export asks groupforce for an archive of mail, contacts, calendars, notes, documents and work items, which the console says is emailed to the billing address as a link. It works whether you cancel or not. Deleting a workspace on the spot is not available in the console yet: write to support.
